This study embodies hydrogeochemical characterisation of granitic aquifers, around ~1850 km2 area in the Bundelkhand Craton, with especial reference to fluoride (F-) concentrations. It comprises mostly granitoids, granite gneisses, pegmatite, quartz reefs and dyke swarms. Hydrogeologically, the granitoids are aquifuse but saturation zones occur in ruptured and weathered rocks. Various major and minor lineaments, correspond to unified lattice of joints, fractures and shear zones, etc., that can act as conduits for water-movements. The hydrogeochemistry of 41 groundwater samples of pre- and post-monsoon periods (2016-17) show that the F- values have found between 0.13 to 2.55 ppm in pre- and 0.17 to 2.2 ppm in post-monsoon periods. The Principal Component Analyses pointing towards weathering of silicates leading dissolution of F- minerals in alkaline regime causing F-pollution. The Groundwater Quality Indexing shows that poor quality of water possesses a direct relation with NW-SE trending lineaments. Spatial distribution of F- integrated with lineament map show its higher values along NW-SE trending lineaments. Dental deformities are more ubiquitous in juveniles and elders.
