Bala Dogo é o primeiro professor titular da Universidade Estatal de Kaduna, Nigéria. É Professor de Geografia e antigo Reitor da Escola de Pós-Graduação da KASU. Foi Bolseiro de Investigação na Universidade de Jos e Professor Associado na Academia de Defesa Nigeriana. Está também envolvido em trabalhos de desenvolvimento, onde fundou a Care & Action Research (CaRE-NGO).
