The present work was carried out in the Matomb-Makak area located between meridians 11° and 11°15' East longitude and parallels 3°30' and 4° North latitude. At the junction between the Yaoundé series (in large part) and the Congo craton, this area appears to be a key sector for understanding the mapping of the Pan-African nappes north of the Congo craton. The lithological inventory highlighted six petrographic types: garnet and amphibole gneisses related to the Ntem complex (Congo craton) and Pan-African age formations including garnet chloritoschists, garnet amphibolites, garnet micaschists, talcschists and garnet-distincter migmatites. Mineralogical assemblages show a multi-facial metamorphism with three main facies ranging from weak to strong: greenschists in the garnet chloritoschists (Chl+Qtz+Amph+Grt ±Pl) and talcschists (Tlc+Amph+Srp+Chl), upper amphibolites in the garnet and amphibole gneisses (Qtz+Grt+Pl+A
