With the purpose of strengthening the strategies that the student must have to guarantee learning in the area of Positional and Metric Geometry, it is imperative to enhance the activities that strengthen with didactic tools the rotation of plane figures. For this purpose, the following theories will be considered: Van Hiele's Geometric Reasoning Model, Hoffer's Model and Theory of Didactic Situations. The field research, of non-experimental descriptive design and quantitative approach was carried out in a sample of twenty-two second year students of the U.E.N. Dr. José María Vargas to whom a didactic unit structured in presentation, purposes, competences, activities and evaluation was applied. As an instrument of data collection, direct observation and a worksheet were used. It is concluded that the strategies and didactic tools used help the teacher in the process of teaching geometry and allow the student to have understanding of geometric concepts and thus, to systematize mathematical procedures and execute procedures.
