Mexico, from the time of the 1910 revolution, acquired a powerful prestige over the rest of the countries of Latin America. We always thought that this prestige could become a leadership capable of uniting in a solid block, all the countries that extend south of the Rio Bravo. Hence the reprinting of this book whose proposals we believe are still valid.Geopolitics is a hot topic that some associate its content to fascist movements and others use it as a mere geographical reference of countries to pronounce political and economic commitments. The common sense and meaning defines geopolitics as a discipline that studies the supposed relationships between the physical environment and the socioeconomic conditions of a country, from which it is intended to infer the lines of political action. In British authors such as Mackinder it appears as a cover for colonial expansion; in American authors the meaning is preserved and expanded by associating it with living space, such is the case of Alfred Mahan (1956). With this expansionist sense, of vital space, of cover, it is adopted by German Nazism.
