With this, this work aimed to study the environmental degradation around the southwest loop, for this we used Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems techniques. A spatial and temporal study of the environmental degradation in the whole area was also carried out, based on Landsat-5 satellite images for the years 1989 and 2007, and Landsat-8 satellite images for the year 2017, analyzing the dynamics of the degradation that occurred in the area over these years.
