The author, Jerry McCarty, has been kidnapped and rescued, married and divorced, in and out of the Navy, jail, war, the jungle and high trees. His career started as a drive-in car hop, escalated to laundry clerk, janitor, knife salesman, reporter, then editor, became an engineer, designed airplane parts, structure for satellites and for the Saturn V moon rocket. He then jumped out of all that adventure and began a duller life of treasure hunting and writing. He found buried gold in Central America, buried chests of coins and underwater treasure in the states. He loves dogs and claims to have been one in his last life which, he says, explains his behavior. His book, "WWW.Wild, Wicked Web" won a Writers Digest award, and he has won first place awards for five of his short stories. Seventy-two of his short stories have been published in national and foreign magazines.
