As a result of the dedication to teaching over nine years in the public school system in municipal and state schools in the state of Rio de Janeiro and the search for new ways to teach cartography through academic research, this book, the result of a master's dissertation defended in 2014 at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, presents a methodology for teaching maps in digital form, called 'Mapping My River' with the use of Geotechnologies and Multimedia Resources applied to Environmental Education in Elementary School II.
