The Biochemical profile and the context of the geriatric illnesses,Influenza vaccine should be given annually during the fall to all persons over age 65.The healthy elderly persons have a reduced antibody response to the vaccine as compared with younger adults. Pneumococcal vaccination should be given once at age 65 as a rule, it need to be given only once. Nutritional deficits would appear to be reversible in many cases. Adverse outcomes associated with malnutrition. Thus,the potential benefits of nutritional intervention appear worthy of the effort.Cessation of smoking at any age increases longevity and has the potential to increases quality of life. For example, 65-year-old, one-pack-a-day smoker who quit can expect to in-crease their life expectancy by 2-3 years. Any deviation in the biochemical results should be attributed to age and age related pathology together. The use of three different age groups in this study can be useful to identify the intra-individual ranges, to enhance better clinical interpretation of biochemical values in geriatric population.
