Ficus sycomorus L. (Moraceae) is a tree indigenous to Ethiopia which possesses useful agro-forestry, medicinal, ecological and fodder importance. The tree is found scattered in many parts of the country mainly as a result of widespread deforestation and also lack of knowledge in the propagation techniques of the species. I thought biology as a course for five years. After completing my M.Sc. study from Addis Ababa University, I serve Wolaita Sodo University in lecturer position. Currently, I am working in Gullele Botanic Garden (which is established by the joint collaboration of Addis Ababa University and Addis Ababa City Administration) as a Botany researcher.
