The text is intended to serve as support material - textbook - for the "History of Psychology" Course, as part of the Psychology Topics collection that will be made available. Its objective is to know the genesis of the different Schools of Psychology, taking into account their background, main representatives, the influence among them and the historical context, and their contributions to the development of psychology as a science.It is intended to provide a frame of reference from which the interested person (e.g., psychology student, researcher or person with no knowledge in the area) can develop an integrative vision of psychological science and its main foundations. It offers elements to understand the processes that marked the emergence of psychology as an autonomous scientific discipline at the end of the 19th century and its developments in contemporary psychological thought.
