Considering the prevalence, complications and other aspects of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM), this study was designed to determine the percentage of primi gravida identifiable as GDM in different trimesters of pregnancy by Oral Glucose Tolerance Test and to see if the historic or clinical risk factors had any significant association with GDM. In addition, it was aimed at creating consensus among health personnel regarding this common and manageable problem, which is frequently overlooked.
