Robotic arm whose objective is to imitate the movements of a human arm using accelerometers as sensors for the data acquisition of the natural arm movements. This research work is based on the concept of controlling a specific wireless robotic arm using a "portable" controller, which is controlled by a human arm gestures. One of the major ideas behind this project is to introduce the concept of controller portability. In this work the controller is used as an Android app. Even if the controller doesn't have access to the Android device which has the controller app installed, the user can easily download the app and use it in any Android device, which has the following components: Accelerometer, Orientation Sensor and Bluetooth module.

Ritam Dutta obtuvo su máster en Ingeniería Electrónica y Computación en la Universidad SRM de Chennai en 2009 y su licenciatura en Ingeniería Electrónica en el Instituto Tecnológico Manipal de Sikkim en 2007. En la actualidad, está cursando su doctorado (ingeniería) en el SMIT, Sikkim. También es miembro de los organismos IEEE, ISTE, IETE con muchas revistas arbitradas y más de 10 años de experiencia docente.
