Autorenporträt
Michael Metcalf was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He was educated as a civil engineer at the University of Pennsylvania and served in the US Navy as a Seabee. His graduate studies at Stanford University were followed by 30 years in engineering and construction on worldwide projects. He retired and served voluntarily for 20 years in local government in the Town of Moraga, California.
