Since the beginning, man is suffering from various gingival ailments. Gingival lesions is caused by substances derived from microbial plaque accumulating at or near the gingival sulcus; all other suspected local and systemic etiologic factors either enhance plaque accumulation or retention, or enhance the susceptibility of the gingival tissue to microbial attack. With time, the list keeps increasing, ranging from different etiological factors to pathogenesis of these lesions. Many classifications have been put forward to try and assign them in groups. This book aims at compiling maximum number of gingival lesions given in literature according to the latest classification with their features and treatment needs.
