Autorenporträt
William Lynch is a writer of fiction and nonfiction. A native of rural Indiana with deep Scottish roots, he has traced his family history to the late 1700s, when they fled Ireland for Scotland in search of work. In real life, his travels enabled him to visit Scotland more than thirty times, occasionally to the countryside southwest of Glasgow where his ancestors toiled in the shaft mines for coal. Writing the quasi family memoir novella The Life and Times of Jackie Brodie rekindled his fascination with the culture, history, and pride of those hardy individuals who lived, loved, and died in western Scotland in the late 1800s. This new collection of novellas is a celebration of those people and times. it relatively brief.
