Girl s Informal Education is the indigenous education that girls would get before going to school. This book is a discussion of the effect of lack of Informal Education on the young African girl child. It bases on the study of the Banyankole of Sheema County in Uganda and the Education they passed on to their children before the introduction of Formal Education. It shows that before formal education was introduced by Europeans, every one lived a life enmeshed in a net work of family rights and obligations known as role relations. In this way, the girls would be aware of their role relations through a long period of socialization during their childhood. The beginning and the boost of Formal Education is also presented, with a discussion of the discipline of girls in Secondary Schools. It suggests that parents should always train their daughters into the necessary behaviour and discipline right from childhood so that when they are grown up, they will never part from it. Hence informal education gives a firm foundation for formal education and leads to proper discipline and desirable behaviour in society.
