Autorenporträt
A native New Yorker, Ali Rose has always loved writing short stories. She has worked with children for as long as she can remember but truly discovered it to be her passion and life's calling seven years ago. A Penn State alumna, Rose worked part-time as a group leader with 3rd and 4th grade students at an after-school program. After seeing her impact with the brilliant scholars from BROOKLYN, Rose pursued a Master of Social Work degree (with a clinical focus on children and families) at CUNY's Hunter College. As the final project of her master program, Rose wrote a compelling children's story in which she based characters on her experiences as a child. It was important for her to create resources to aid parents and teachers in navigating conversations surrounding gender expression, especially with a younger demographic. Currently, Ali works with young adult scholars supporting them through their college journey focusing on academics, social-emotional growth, and mental health. Ali still lives in New York City.
