In the first chapter of John, the Baptist was asked twice, "Who Are You?" His response was, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness!" In years of counseling, I have discovered just like John the Baptist; our hearts have a voice that must be heard by God and others for healing to come. In the first chapter of John, the Baptist was asked twice, "Who Are You?" His response was, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness!" In years of counseling, I have discovered just like John the Baptist; our hearts have a voice that must be heard by God and others for healing to come. It is true, our heart was created to store things. It stores the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, all our life experiences. I am sure that is why the scripture is clear when it says, "Guard your heart for out of it flow the issues of life." Our voice needs to flow but we need to make sure it is flowing in the right direction. Mary in the Book of Luke, tells us after hearing what the shepherds said about the Birth of Christ, "she kept and treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart thinking about them often." Yes, your heart thinks and ponders as it processes information that it stores. In 1991, it was discovered that your heart has 40,000 neurons just like your Gut and Brain that have billions. It has even been said, your heart talks to your brain more then your brain speaks to your heart. It has a voice that needs to be released. Giving Your Heart A Voice, is a road-map in helping your heart discover its voice. I am convinced our healing depends on our heart having that voice. The healing of those locked-up emotions has as much to do with our heart as it does with our head. My heart, in writing this book is that you will find your voice and release it so all your emotional, mental, and physical healing occurs at Gods Throne Room that's full of Mercy and Grace. Heb. 4:16 Dr. Victor Alinen writes this book from his perspectives as a teacher, coach and psychologist. Early in his ministry Dr. Vic realized the world we live in and the local church lacked understanding and discernment on why they struggle with life issues. Giving Your Heart a Voice is his attempt to release heart messages that are stuck in their family storylines. Dr. Vic got his graduate degree in counseling at Washington State University and his Ph.D in pastoral counseling at International Seminary in Florida. Dr. Vic and his wife Jeanne now live in Mukilteo Washington with their two sons Joel and Jason and their wives Manny and Jessica. Six grandkids fill up their lives with love and joy as we watch them grow up.
