When Glide was born, a Ne'verman predicted great things for him. So how did he end up working as a pen pusher? Depressed and searching for something more to life, Glide gets much more than he bargained for when Ne'wang the Ne'vermaker, an indigenous sorcerer, whisks him through a gateway to Auslan, a former paradise in desperate need of a hero. Here Glide finds a wicked witch; a beautiful princess trapped in Slowtime (think the office on a Friday afternoon, only worse); and a talking elephant ... wait, an elephant? That's what happens to heroes around here.

Autorenporträt
I was born in London but moved to Canberra, Australia, after completing a Ph.D in visual information processing. After a few more years of research, I became involved with tai chi and meditation. I left research and spent 12 years in teaching tai chi and yoga relaxation classes. Meditation manifested a mountain of poems, then plays, short stories and novels. In 1987, I married Judith, a visual artist. In 1992, I started to do her picture framing. That led to woodturning and making wooden automata. Since 1997, Judith and I have lived on the Sunshine Coast, Queendsland.
