I was born in London but moved to Canberra, Australia, after completing a PhD on visual information processing. Becoming involved in meditation, I left research to pursue tai chi and meditation. My practise led to writing - mostly about the fantastical.. In 1987, I married Judith, a visual artist and in 1992, I started to do her picture framing.That led to woodturning and making wooden automata. Since 1997, Judith and I have lived on the Sunshine Coast, Queendsland.
