Der Sammelband umfasst 15 Aufsätze in englischer Sprache, die - auf dem neuesten Stand der Forschung - die Telegrafie als Medium und Technologie der Moderne, den Telegrafen als zentrales Instrument einer globalen Kommunikation darstellen.
