Dr. Harris has written 135 peer reviewed scientific articles, numerous book chapters, and edited two major textbooks on the role of inflammation in the etiopathogenesis of cancer and other chronic diseases. His research shows that inhibition of the inducible cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene has powerful anti-neoplastic effects against major forms of cancer. In recognition of this work, he was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science by his peers.
