No development is possible in a country if population health is not a priority. It is for this reason that almost all the leaders of the world attach great importance to the health of their fellow citizens. To ensure better health for the population, it s not only important to set up well-equipped hospitals, clinics and health centers with highly qualified health professionals, but it will be vital to help the population to put in place effective control of different diseases whether they are transmissible or not. The major challenge facing ministries of health, and its partners, including WHO, is the fight against communicable and non-communicable diseases. All these diseases are nowadays a major obstacle to socio-economic development in both developed and developing countries. To facilitate the support of the population in the management of their own health, WHO has put in place guidelines applied by each nation and NGOs in the framework of public health programs. The well use of these guides as well as existing national strategies will facilitate a real fight against these diseases and disabilities in the different countries of the planet.
