Prof. Ivan Petrovic absolvierte die juristische Fakultät der Universität Kragujevac, Serbien, und die diplomatische Akademie von Montenegro. Er hat an der Fakultät für Sicherheit und Schutz der Universität Sinergija einen Master und einen Doktortitel erworben. Während seiner beruflichen Laufbahn arbeitete er in zahlreichen nationalen Institutionen (Nationales Büro des Präsidenten von Serbien).
