"If one was to observe the pattern of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations that have occurred on the Earth, a massive fall over a prolonged period (from 5000ppm to 280ppm on the Earth), followed by an abrupt spike (from 280ppm to over 400ppm on the Earth), on any life-bearing planet, then this would be a sign that all is well on that planet. It indicates that the 'first line of defence' has done its job and that life on that planet is well on its way to bringing forth its 'main line of defence'. If one is observing the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations on a distantly located life-bearing planet, and there is a prolonged fall over a long period of time, but there is no sign of an abrupt spike, then one should be deeply and increasingly worried for the life on that planet. One would be praying to see such a spike soon, for without it one would know that the life that resides there would be hurtling towards extinction. In other words, one would be praying to see global warming that has been initiated by that planet's master modifier." Dr C Global Warming & Human Cosmic Purpose 02 02 2020 pp. 14 - 15 Learn why human-induced global warming is an inevitable stage of unfoldment of a thriving life-bearing planet. Explore the nature of human cosmic purpose & find out why it is intimately connected to the phenomenon of global warming. Understand why attempting to deal with the phenomenon of global warming through reducing the use of fossil fuels leads to needless suffering & death. Furthermore, appreciate why such an attempt could lead to the decimation of life on Earth. Come to know the perilous concoction of forces for global warming that currently exist & thereby comprehend the need for 'the sufficient deployment of technology'. Over the last 20 years I have been attaining increasingly intense insights into the answers to the following questions: What is the nature of the universe? Why do humans act the way that they do? Does the human species have a purpose? Do individual humans have a purpose? Does our current stage of cultural unfoldment have cosmic significance? How do we relate to the non-human life-forms of the Earth? Are we fundamentally a positive or a negative influence on the Earth? Should the environmental crisis, and human-induced global warming in particular, be seen in a positive light? I have, to the best of my ability, put my insights into the answers to these questions into words, words that can be found in two books: 'Human Purpose & the Universal Pursuit of Ecstasy' (July 2019) and this book 'Global Warming & Human Cosmic Purpose' (February 2020). If you read one of these books I would advise you to also read the other, because each of them sheds both intellectual and emotional light onto the contents of its companion. The eight questions that I have outlined above are ordered in a particular way; they represent a journey of progressive insight. If one is to attain ultimate insights into the nature of human cosmic purpose and how this relates to human-induced global warming, one first needs to come to appreciate the nature of the universe. If one jumps straight into the final question, without treading the arduous path that encompasses coming to appreciate the answers to all of the previous seven questions, then one would be hopelessly lost. One's ideas, one's views, one's opinions, would operate solely on the surface level of reality; they would, almost certainly, bare very little resemblance to the true nature of things.
