As the world economy becomes more global and trade liberalisation continues, industries in all countries are facing growing pressures to adjust their patterns of production and trade to changing competitive environment. To meet these challenges, strengthening the competitiveness of national economies has become the central issue. The present study discusses "The process of globalisation has the potential to accelerate competitiveness in the developing countries (China and India) as well as to bring considerable benefits to developed countries (Triad i.e. USA, European Union and Japan) through successful integration of both sets of countries into the global economy and acceleration of market forces".
