This project is to fabricate cold rolled ultra thin graded metal sheet, the mechanical properties of the welded joints of corten steel sheets has been used in the integrated coach factory in making the coaches of rails obtained by Metal Inert Gas Welding done with different parameters like current, welding speed ,gas flow rate and weld speed as a constant are studied. The performance of the welded joints is identified using the Tensile, Micro hardness, Bending, Microstructure examination and Macrostructure examination. The better strength of welding is obtained with the specific current and welding speed of MIG welding process. Thus the result provides the alternative welding method of MIG welding instead of TIG welding that has been using still.
