Dr. Lynn Hawkins is the author of three books, Alive and Writing in Nebraska, Wise Child: Wise Woman, and Always the First: Survival in an Uncivil World. A professor of English at Daytona State College, she has published more than 2,500 feature stories as well as writing a weekly television segment and hosting a live daily radio talk show.
