God desires that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven and he desires to partner with us in achieving this. God created work and by extension, business as the avenue and vehicle in which God would speak with man, relate to man and work with man. It is God's primary means (not the only) of bringing His Kingdom into a divine association with the world. It's interesting to note that God created Work before Family or even the Church. He first gave Adam a lifetime purpose (to work the Garden of Eden and take care of creation) and then later a specific task that contributes to that purpose (naming the Animals). Then within the context of that job and the business environment, God worked with Adam, spoke to him (sometimes walked with him in the cool of the day) and related with him one on one. Similarly, God still desires to partner with businesses and business owners today in a way that allows the presence, proximity and hand of God to cause multiplication such that we can feed, heal and impact the multitude and the world. Our business may not be much, or we may even consider ourselves as underdogs in business, but little becomes much when we allow God to get involved. When you allow God in your business, not as a side kick or as an afterthought but "IN" your business, as your partner, at your board meetings, in your decisions, you can expect the extra-ordinary and the miraculous.
