This poetry means the world to me. My process is in basic terms, dreamed up. Although, some of the pieces are from many years of contemplation of certain scriptures and philosophies. Originality is a common theme of mine including combining rhythm and meter with some rhyme when it can be applied. I love to write about scripture and God in new ways! I read, pray and think about fresh ways of examining the Word of God and how it relates to the world, my experiences, myself and others. My only hope with this work is that someone can relate, learn and gain as much or of it as I have. I've been writing for as long as I can remember and am privileged to have turned my passion into my life's work. Meditating on scripture and applying it to my life and it's struggles aid in inspiration for my poetry. I've been writing since I was just 10 years old and also received a poetry scholarship in high school where I was very involved including poetry club. I studied Cultural Anthropology and Art History at the University of Missouri, Columbia. I am from the St. Louis area where I grew up the oldest of two with a younger sister in a loving family.
