God decided to create mankind. He remodeled planet Earth and placed us there. He gave us a "free will". A man could do right or wrong. If he did wrong, he was marked a sinner and would be sent to Hell when his body died. But, God wanted each man to go to Heaven when he perished, so God provided the "sin-sacrifice" system. Through prayer, a man could transfer his sins to a lamb, offer it as a sacrifice on a fiery altar, and as the lamb died, his sins were erased. Being sin-free, he would go to Heaven when he died. Moses was led to make this system into Judaism, linked to the altar in front of the Temple in Jerusalem. Centuries before Jesus, the Son of God, came to Earth, Romans seized control of a huge swath of the world, including Israel. They installed a network of roads throughout their empire and managed shipping on the Mediterranean Sea. In 5 B.C., God planted Jesus, as an embryo, into the womb of Mary. The Son of God became flesh. Thirty years later, God sent "John the Baptist" to the banks of the Jordan River to announce the beginning of a new era, the age of the "Kingdom of God". John baptized Jesus. Immediately, Jesus went into the wilderness to confront Satan. For 40 days, Satan tried to get Jesus to sin. He failed. Jesus won. Jesus began choosing Apostles. He turned 30 and began His Ministry.
