Janna Matthies is a picture-book author, music teacher, pastor's wife, and mother of three. Her newest title, Here We Come!, is forthcoming from Beach Lane Books/S&S. Janna's other picture books include Two is Enough (Running Press Kids), which made the 2016 Bank Street list and The New York Times Book Review; and The Goodbye Cancer Garden (Albert Whitman), which earned a School Library Journal starred review and Best Foreign Language Children's Book at the Sharjah International Book Fair. When she's not writing or making music, Janna can be found digging in the garden, swimming laps, or keeping up with her family in Indianapolis, Indiana. Airin O'Callaghan was born in Boston, but her family moved to Barcelona only 6 months later, to be where her parents were from. Since then, she has lived in the Netherlands, attending the University of Amsterdam, and then San Francisco, where she earned her MFA in illustration. Her inspiration comes from her early childhood in Spain, where she spent a lot of time surrounded by family and playing in nature. Her family is very warm and expressive, and her grandmother taught her to pay a specific kind of attention to detail. Airin lives in Berkeley, California.
