Christiane Zivie-Coche is Director of Studies, L'Ecole pratique des Hautes Etudes, Section des Sciences religieuses, Paris. She is the author of Sphinx: History of a Monument, also from Cornell. David Lorton, an Egyptologist, lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
