Pertti Pietarinen aloitti lastenkirjojen kirjoittamisen v. 2013. Vuonna 2014 ilmestyi hänen ensimmäinen kuvitettu satukirjansa "Kissa Kiiskinen sankarina ja muita satuja". Hänen kirjojaan on julkaistu suomeksi, englanniksi ja japaniksi.
