He would order a wife from the East to help take care of his brother's kids while he finished building a lumber empire in Reedsport, Oregon. She would be unobtrusive and obedient. From now on his life would be orderly and serene. No surprises. But neither one of them could have predicted that an unscrupulous lawyer would come into both their lives and change everything. Now Elizabeth found herself on the way to Oregon as a mail order bride, no one listening to her pleas that this was all a mistake. While Adam greeted not the calm woman of his dreams, but a fiery Auburn haired girl insisting she was kidnapped. There is a saying, "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans."
