Autorenporträt
Kathy Hill was born Katherine Viedge in Mthatha, in the Transkei region of South Africa. Much of her childhood was spent at her family home of Viedgesville and on the Transkei Wild Coast. Kathy attended Clifton Park High school - now Hudson Park High - in East London, in the Eastern Cape. She went on to qualify as a Radiographer, or X-ray technician. She spent many years working in the Kwa Zulu Natal province, where she raised her two children. Kathy is now retired, living in East London with her Mother and a Teddy Bear named Wittie. While in quarantine, she was prompted to write "The Stay at Home Bug", hoping to help educate young children about the Corona virus. She is the author of three other books, all featuring Gogo and Q.
