Stan Cohen established Pictorial Histories Publishing Co. Inc in 1976 in Missoula, Montana and has authored or co-authored 74 pictorial history books and published 150. He has worked in Alaska as a geologist and spent 50 years travelling the North Country from Nome, Atlin and Kiska in the Aleutian Islands, all of Southern Alaska, Eagle, Attu and the major cities of Whitehorse, Dawson City and even Old Crow in the Yukon researching and promoting his North Country books. He lives in Missoula with his wife Anne.
