Luigi Garlando es escritor y guionista italiano, nacido en Milán en 1942. Después de licenciarse en Letras Modernas, hace sus primeras incursiones en el mundo del cómic. Poco después empieza a trabajar en el periódico deportivo Gazzetta dello Sport, donde sigue en la actualidad y para quien ha cubierto dos juegos olímpicos y varios mundiales de futbol. Es un apasionado coleccionista de copias de la Divina Comedia de Dante.
