Virginia believes that children need to learn more about the problems of the world, but in a language of stories, poetry, and music that they can enjoy and understand. She also hopes that this kind of literature will develop an appreciation for good character values such as courage, love, hope honor, tolerance and respect for the brotherhood of man.
