Autorenporträt
Laura was born in the East End of Hamilton and has lived all over the fair city. She has a knack for writing parodies, which came in handy over the course of her career with the City of Hamilton. Deeply involved in her community, Laura is the president of the Rotary Club of Hamilton ('24-'25), and wanted the illustrations to evoke another Rotary Club initiative from 1983: "Enterprise," a Hamilton version of a popular board game. A dear friend pushed her to get this story into the hands of other readers as a love letter to Hamilton, and to raise funds for literacy initiatives for youth. A portion of the proceeds from this book will go towards the literacy programs the Rotary Club of Hamilton supports. Laura lives in Hamilton with her son, Connor, who first listened to and approved of this story.
