Autorenporträt

Ben graduated from the DIT College of Art, Dublin, with a Degree in Visual Communications and has worked in several advertising agencies as a graphic designer and illustrator. Since 2010 he has worked freelance, and in 2020, he completed a certificate in animation from Griffith College, Dublin. His passion for narrative and storytelling stems from many years involved in the creative process. He took up oil painting 15 years ago, exhibiting and selling in several galleries in Ireland. In 2022 he self-published The Nurchies children's picture books, a series of three picture books for early readers. Ben hopes his characters Goozebob, Tess and Jonathan will help parents gently broach the subject of climate change with their children at story time. He lives in Sandymount, Dublin, Ireland.
