Autorenporträt
Kathleen A. Baxter served as the Coordinator of Children's Services in the Anoka County Library, for over twenty-five years. She has written The Non Fiction Booktalker column for School Library Journal since 1997. She has presented at hundreds of national and state library and reading conferences all over the country. Kathleen has also taught classes in children's literature, served on the 2001 Newbery Committee, consults for publishers, and now presents all-day seminars on children's books for the Bureau of Education and Research. Michael Dahl is the author of over 50 fiction and nonfiction books for children and young adults. He has twice won the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers for his nonfiction. Among his fiction, his Finnegan Zwake series was named among the five best mystery books of 2002 for children by the Agatha Awards. Dahl is a conference speaker on mysteries and children's nonfiction, and also conducts writing workshops for students. He is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and can be reached at dahl@mysteryworks.com.
