Theodore Cornwell is a poet, fiction writer and journalist who grew up in Minnesota and currently divides his time between Minneapolis and New York City. He has degrees from Carleton College and the City University of New York, where he studied creative writing with poets Marilyn Hacker and Elaine Equi. His poetry has appeared in numerous journals, including the Southern Poetry Review, Folio: a Literary Journal, and Glitterwolf. His short stories have appeared in anthologies from Alyson Books, Arsenal Pulp Press, and Cleis Press, among others. He worked as a reporter and editor on publications serving the financial services industry for over 20 years. Currently he is a freelance writer. His letters and opinion pieces have appeared in the Minneapolis StarTribune, The Washington Post and The New York Times. He enjoys live theater, red wine and recreational tennis.
