Autorenporträt
S. J. Henschel (Book & Lyrics) is a New York City-trained actress, director and writer now living in the Rochester, NY, area. Her performance and directing credits include productions ranging from off-Broadway to regional theatre. She is a co-founder of the Hourglass Play Reading Series, dedicated to bringing Rochester audiences new and exciting plays. Henschel is the author of two books of poetry (as Sandi Piccione), and her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals. She is currently a contributing editor to AudioFile Magazine, and she writes and hosts a weekly radio program for Reachout Radio, a program for the blind and visually impaired offered by WXXI, Rochester's PBS station. Jim Schmitt (Music & Additional Lyrics) is the Music Director/Accompanist/Composer for TYKES (Theatre Young Kids Enjoy) named #1 Children's Theatre and #3 Family Activity in the Greater Rochester area in Upstate New York by "KidsOutandAbout." Jim also freelances as Music Director for a variety of theatre companies, including RBTL (Rochester Broadway Theatre League) "A Magical Journey Through Stages" theatre company, and many others. Along with "Gotta Dance!, ' Jim has composed many other musicals with his very talented wife Debbie, and has received numerous awards, notably from TANYS (Theatre Association of New York State), GO Art, (Genesee/Orleans Regional Arts Council) and several Ava, Hermes and Mar Com Gold and Platinum awards from AMCP (The Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals) for his work on "A Simple Ode" series of musical video morality tales.
