Human development is a very delicate subject and a major concern for local, national, regional and international authorities. This concern translates into a relentless fight against the various social scourges in general and in particular corruption that prevents or hinders the development process in a country or a specific economic area. The problem of this work is to know if the preponderance of corruption in developing countries in general and in CEMAC countries in particular has an influence on human development in these different countries. Based on the different estimates, the results show that corruption has a direct influence on human development in the countries in the sample. Thus, each citizen, from the family unit to the sub-regional authorities, should oppose any attempt at corruption in order to curb this scourge. Also, school curricula from the basic to the higher levels should contain virtues such as transparency, merit, perseverance as well as the misdeeds and sanctions related to scourges such as embezzlement and corruption.
