Autorenporträt
Mary A. Hums is a Professor of Sport Administration at the University of Louisville, USA. Her main research interests include policy development in sport organizations, especially in regard to the inclusion of people with disabilities and also sport and human rights. She is also a member of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM), the International Society of Olympic Historians (ISOH), and the International Olympic Academy Participants Association (IOAPA). She was named a Zeigler Lecturer, NASSM's most prestigious academic honor. Yannick Kluch is an Assistant Professor and Director of Inclusive Excellence in the Center for Sport Leadership at Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. His research and consulting work are focused on utilizing sport as a vehicle for social change as well as on eliminating barriers to social justice. Specifically, his areas of expertise include sociocultural studies of sport, athlete activism, inclusive sport policy, human rights, and equity, diversity, and inclusion in sport. In 2020, he was one of only four experts appointed to the inaugural Team USA Council on Racial and Social Justice by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee. His research areas include athlete activism and sport and social movements, and his sport industry experience has primarily focused on facilities and game day operations and sports information. At UWL, Schmidt serves on the Committee for Academic Policies and Standards for the university, among various other service duties. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Amateur Sport. Joanne C. MacLean is a President and Vice Chancellor of the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), Canada. She also serves as Chair of the USports Board of Directors, the governance body for university sport in Canada. She served as Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UFV from 2012 to 2018, prior to being selected as the institution's first female President. From 2002 to 2012 she was a Professor of Sport Management at Brock University, where she held the positions of Department Chair and Interim Dean. She also has extensive experience in the administration, governance, and human resource management of university sport within Canada.
