Prof. Devi Prasad Juvvadi is currently Director (Agriculture Management) at Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Hyderabad. He has over three decades of experience in agricultural research, teaching and consultancy. His basic training was in B.Sc (Agric) at A.P. Agricultural University. Later he pursued Masters in Soil Science at American University of Beirut and advanced training in soil science in England. Prof. Devi Prasad worked as Assistant Professor at American University of Beirut for a decade and adjunct to US-Saudi Joint Commission on Economic Co-operation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He worked as Consultant to various International projects supported by UNDP, UNECWA, World Bank, DFID in Middle East, Africa and India. In India, initially Prof. Devi Prasad worked with non profit sector and has been trainer, resource person and consultant to many organizations including NAARM, MANAGE, SAMETI, EEI, SBI, ITC, APWELL, AFC etc. Prof. Devi Prasad worked as Team Leader for World Bank supported project, A.P. Community Based Tank Management Project through Agriculture Finance Corporation of India. He also worked as Team Leader for External M&E of A.P.Well, a Netherlands supported project. For the last decade he is involved in various projects with Centre for Good Governance including change and service delivery projects in agriculture under a DFID supported programme. He has served as Member, Board of Management, AP Horticulture University. Prof Devi Prasad has been member of Soil Science Society of America, American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, Saudi Biological Society etc. He has published widely in international journals, published bulletins, review articles, contributed to English and Telugu news papers on agriculture and written policy papers, briefs and few books on agriculture. Prof. Devi Prasad presented papers at several international conferences including World Agriculture Forum, and lectured in various universities in Turkey, Israel and USA. He has travelled widely in over 26 countries in all the continents. His current research interests include agriculture governance, innovation in agriculture, change management etc.
