Corporate governance, considered to be the main crisis factor in SMEs in general and MSEs in particular, is the subject of several research studies. Our contribution has a twofold objective: Firstly, to verify the influence of governance on the growth of Cameroonian MSEs. To achieve our objective, 80 MSEs constituted our study sample and classification analysis, the Chi-square test and logistic regression were used to analyse the data. At the end of this analysis, the results obtained showed us that governance has a significant influence, both positive and negative, on the growth of Cameroonian MSEs, measured by financial and social performance, which were the measurement factors used in our study. Secondly, we propose to determine the factors that are at the origin of the non-repayment of loans received from financial institutions by Cameroonian SMEs. This non-repayment is often caused by factors linked to the SME environment and operations.
