Governance Structures in Igbo Folktales analyses a cross-section of Igbo folktales with a view to examining the nature of the structural organizations of the precolonial Igbo society, especially the governing structures. The work addresses democratic and autocratic governance structures in the folktales to show that the precolonial Igbo society reflected in the stories is a world of binary opposition where good and evil co-exist in a simultaneous bundle.
