This is Beverley Elliott's third children's book in collaboration with illustrator, Anna M. Costello. GREYSON'S SHOES was published in 2020, and GRAMMIE'S SUITCASE, published in 2021, received Honorable Mention in Penelope's Prize Children's Book Awards in 2022. Beverley's career as a consulting and primary care paediatrician in both Canada and the US speaks to her love of children, and now in her retirement, she is fulfilling a life-long dream of writing for children. She strives to make her stories more than just fun and entertaining while alluding to life-lessons, as she believes that reading with children in their formative years is critical to stimulating and encouraging the desire to be a life-long reader. About the Illustrator Anna Maureen Costello is a picture book illustrator and artist living on Vancouver Island. This is the third book that she has been delighted to collaborate with and create pictures for the author, Beverley Elliott, MD. Anna likes to find inspiration from whatever natural surrounding she finds herself in, while striving to bring her pictures to life with a fun approach and some whimsy sprinkled in.
